Appointments, Office Hours, Insurance, Affiliation, Rx Refills, Directions MISSION STATEMENT (Please click to view) Appointments Dr. Hong is accepting new patients. For an appointment with Dr. Hong, call 434-817-1140 Option 1 and ask office coordinator to have Dr. Hong become your Primary Care Physician. Dr. Hong accepts most insurances. Dr. Hong sees patients 16 years old and older. If your insurance requires you name a primary care physician, please contact your insurance company before you see Dr. Hong or your insurance will not cover your visit.(see insurance information) Note: Dr. Hong does not prescribe narcotics on a chronic basis. He also does not take new nursing home or assisted living patients. Dr. Zitnay is currently taking new patients; call 434-817-1140 Option
#1 for appointment. Dr. Zitnay practices endocrinology and requires
that you have a primary care provider for your general health care.
For Dr. Zitnay, you may need a referral to see him depending on your
insurance plan. Check with your insurance company to see if you
need a referral (see insurance information);
if you do, contact your Primary Care Physician for a referral. You are
responsible for pre-authorization from your insurance company to be
covered, and you are responsible for your bill if you are not authorized
by your insurance. Dr. Zitnay sees pediatric and adult patients. NEW PATIENTS: To make an appointment, we need to know
ESTABLISHED PATIENTS: If you are already a patient of Dr. Zitnay and/or Dr. Hong, please let us know if you have changed your address, your phone number(s), and your insurance. For Dr. Zitnay, if your insurance requires a referral number, please make sure it is up to date before you come. Please leave a message if we are not able to answer your call right away. We are a small office and provide as much individual attention as we can to you. We WILL call you back! Thank you for your patience and understanding. Office Hours The office is opened 8:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, with
the exception of Thursday which is 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Closed the 1st &
3rd Thursday of each month. Lunch hours 12:00-1:00pm. Payment & Insurance
Because of the time and costs to collect unpaid co-payments,
effective 12/1/05 there will be a $20 fee for copayments not received
on day of service. Affiliation Dr. Zitnay has admitting privileges at Martha Jefferson
Hospital and is on the medical staff. Prescription Refills See Policies & Recommendations Page! We no longer call in prescription refills due to medical-legal and patient safety reasons. Please bring all your medicines and needs for refills to each visit. If you need a refill, please call 817-1140 option #2 and ask for your Rx to be left at the front desk. Please allow 72 hours.
